No account, no database — by default
Verdict has no sign-in and no account system. Your resume and job description are held only in your browser's memory for the current tab — closing or refreshing the page clears everything. Nothing is saved to a database, unless you explicitly choose to generate a shareable link (see below) — and even then, it's never your resume, only the verdict text you're choosing to make public.
What gets sent to generate a roast or rewrite
When you click a roast or rewrite action, your resume text (and job description, if you added one) is sent to our server and forwarded to OpenRouter, which routes the request to a third-party AI model. That request is not stored by us beyond what's needed to return the result to you.
Uploading a photo or PDF
If you upload a photo or PDF instead of pasting text, that image is sent to our server and forwarded to OpenRouter to read the text out of it. It's not saved after the request completes.
The ATS score and section checks
Your keyword match score and all the weak-verb/passive-voice/buzzword checks are computed entirely in your browser — nothing about that analysis is sent anywhere.
Free-usage limits
We use a cookie to count how many free roasts and rewrites you've used this session. It doesn't identify you personally and expires automatically.
The upvote button
Clicking “Upvote” increments a single shared counter — no account, name, or email collected. Your browser remembers you've already voted, but that record never leaves your device.
No analytics, no tracking
We don't run third-party analytics or advertising trackers of any kind.
